Hekk'ran (Sand Devil)

Description: Sand Devils are a carnivorous reptilian race.  They are solitary creatures and only group up when it's time to procreate.  Despite their immense size and power, they are ambush predators, burying themselves in the sand, waiting for prey to walk overhead and before it attacks.  They stand over 300 cm tall.  Since before recorded history, the Nub'Irians and the Hekk'ran have been competing for dominance of the desert.  They often compete for food or to make the other their meal.  When these confrontations occur, it is often in the favor of the Hekk'ran unless there are more than five of the Nub'irians.
